New online study on human robot interaction launched
A new online study as part of the UrbANT project has been launched. In this, test subjects will see a short clip of an interaction between a human and a delivery robot. Afterwards, they will be asked to evaluate this situation and answer further questions. The study in German-language will take a total of 10-15 minutes.
Digital Consortium Meeting - Project Month 12
Digital and virtual instead of a face-to-face meeting, the two-day consortium meeting to mark the first year of the project took place at BASt Together with the project management organisation of the VDI | VDE-IT, current developments were reviewed and legal aspects for the future approval and operation of autonomous micromobiles were discussed during a full-day workshop.
Design presentation
With the presentation of the exterior design, UrbANT gets its face for the first time. Together with the partners, ika's transportation designers have developed the design of the platform as well as the shopping, folding and parcel station hut structure over the last few months, which will be prepared for moulding in the coming months.
Ergonomics study
What should a hut structure for transporting our food for UrbANT look like? In a current user study, we are testing the ergonomics of two vehicle concepts developed as part of a final thesis at ika, while adhering to strict hygiene measures. For this purpose, the test persons load them in direct comparison with a shopping trolley. The results are reincorporated directly into the development of the shopping set-up.
Co-Creation Workshops
How can a flexible structure of a micro vehicle be designed? How many UrbANTs does a city district need? And how do we want to operate an autonomous vehicle? At the beginning of the project and before finalizing the development requirements, issues that particularly needed clarification were examined in three interactive co-creation workshops. Problems should not only be discussed in these workshops. By building and testing simple functional prototypes, first steps towards solutions were taken.
